The primary role of the CDCUSA Board of Directors is to protect the organization by providing effective governance and oversight. The Board empowers the CEO to make the necessary decisions at the local community level, ensuring that all programs and initiatives align with community needs and organizational values.
As the public face of CDCUSA, the CEO is responsible for recruiting Local Leaders, Committees, and Volunteers, working closely with the Board Chair and Executive Directors when needed. This approach ensures strong local leadership and oversight, which are essential for maintaining the quality and effectiveness of CDCUSA programming and fostering community engagement and support.
